[G420/G520/G720/G700] Are there any lighter systems available on the Genio series? like buildroot

The Yocto/Android need long time to flashing (>120 seconds) and need big storage.

We consider reduce the flashing time from 120 seconds to 10 seconds. And less stoarge (like 256MB flash), the Yocto seems can’t fit the requirement.

Are there any lighter systems available on the Genio series? like buildroot?

Currently MediaTek does not have an officially supported BSP for buildroot.

The Yocto project itself actually defines minimal images - have you evaluated them?

You can try something like MACHINE=genio-720-evk-ufs bitbake core-image-minimal.
