Is there any recommended way to burn a permanent Ethernet MAC address (e.g. into EEPROM, efuse, or any dedicated area) for MT8370 under Yocto? Is there any Mediatek tool or script for this purpose?
If you want to set permanent MAC address on board which has only EMMC or UFS storage, the only method is to customize EFUSE cdata field.
Customers must implement how to read and calculate MAC address based on these EFUSE fields. includes the procedure for mass production. It should be a customized SOP and procedure for mass production.
