Building Android source code for Genio 1200 platform

Hi,

Greetings of the day!

We have NDA in place, and we have access to the NDA repositories in gitlab as well.

We want to know if we can build Genio 1200 EVK Android source code and generate the images to flash on Genio 1200 EVK?

Our plan is to make a hardware as per our requirement with Genio 1200 EVK as reference design but with a few customizations regarding MIPI display. We want to make some changes in the Genio 1200 EVK build to accommodate a 5 or 6-inch MIPI display instead of the 7-inch display which is supported in the EVK.

What do we need to have to get the latest android source code building with our changes in MIPI display driver?

Can you please let us know the feasibility and guide us where and how to get started with the android source build for genio 1200 evk.

With NDA access to the Genio 1200 repositories, you are able to build the Android source code and generate images suitable for flashing onto the Genio 1200 EVK.

After signing the NDA, you should have received an email with the subject line containing “[MTK RELEASE]”. This email includes:

  • The software version details
  • Instructions for downloading the source code
  • Guidance on setting up the build environment

For your planned display customization (such as changing from a 7-inch to a 5 or 6-inch MIPI display), you will need to modify the relevant display driver configurations and device tree files within the Android source.

I checked and we have not received any email with the subject line containing “[MTK RELEASE]”.
