I’m working with the Genio 1200 Evaluation Kit (EVK). How to enable auto power-on with an adapter on the Genio 1200 EVK?

Adjust the Jumper and USB-C D/L Port

The auto power-on feature operates differently across the various versions of the Genio 1200 EVK. The version number is printed on the back of the board.

For Genio 1200 EVK P1V1

  • DC adapter’s auto power-on feature is activated when the USB-C D/L port is connected.
  • Conversely, the auto power-on feature is disabled when the USB-C D/L port is not connected. To power on the system, please press the power key (PWR).

For Genio 1200 EVK P1V2

  • DC adapter’s auto power-on feature is activated when the jumper on the J51 pins shorts 1-2 (see the image below).
  • Conversely, the auto power-on feature is disabled when the jumper on the J51 pins shorts 2-3 (see the image below). To power on the system, please press the power key (PWR).

Please note that the board always powers on automatically when the USB-C D/L port is connected, regardless of the auto power-on jumper setting.
